Clemmensen gets starts 2011-05-08 (AP) Ottawa Senators backup goalie Scott Clemmensen is making a strong bid to stay with the team. Next season he will be in competition with Brian Elliott for the backup role to Cory Schneider, who has finally emerged as the number one goalie. "I want my shot," Clemmensen told reporters. He has started the past three games--a win, a loss, and a tie--and will alternate between the pipes with Elliott for the remaining eight games in the regular season.
