Jets Land Alex Wennberg, Haula, F.Anderson! Plus more!

The Jets had a glaring hole at Center to Start Free Agency.   After trading long time Jet, Nathan MacKinnon,   there was no one for the 2nd line Center position.  Alexander Wennberg was the best Center out there to Start Free Agency, and he was a guy we wanted to target right away. At the end of talks, Wennberg agreed to Join the Jets on a 4 year deal worth 9.1M per Season and will get a "A"  on his sweater as well!  He Brings a great defensive game to the team, can chip in offense, is fast, and excellent on faceoffs.

"Great oppurunity here in Winnipeg to be a very good team, and some youth up and coming to keep this franchise in a good spot.   Playing behind one of the best Centers in the game will be awseome. (Leon Draisailt) I can focus on 2nd line Center duties and top PK minutes as well.   I'm pretty Versatile, and bring a 2 way game to the club!  I'm very excited to get started here with the Jets"  Says Wennberg.

Prior to signing he found out that Erik Haula joined the Jets on a 3 year deal, paying him 4.4M per season.  With the loss of Hyman, the Jets add a player up front help fill in.  Haula has a strong defensive game, which will help the 2nd line, help the PK and he can still provide some offense.   Podkozlin is gonna start on that line as well and he brings some offense to that line as well.  We think that new 2nd line can bring have some chemistry together. It looks to be a well rounded line.

Warren Foegle also resigned with the club to stay apart of the teams bottom lines.   He has spent 5 seasons with the club already and we are thrilled to have him back for another 2 years!   He brings  a little bit of everything to our bottom lines.

Last but not least, We lost Lankinen and needed a Good Goalie to backup Skinner.   Frederik Anderson agreed to a 2 year deal and we can not wait to add a Veteran Goalie like Him to our club.   He's very good golaie, and thing we will have an exellent goaltending duo.

Other depth signings the Jets have made for depth and top farm players are:  A.Erne, S.Sabourin, G.Wilson, M.Jones, Z.MacEwen.
