Hurricanes Get Their Man

No one saw it coming, but the Hurricanes owner, Peter Karmanos, has finally revealed his new choice to take over the Hurricanes. "I feel that after having met with Matthew he was going to be our guy", said Karmanos in a press conference held this morning, "He has an expansive hockey knowledge and I believe that he can help take this team to new heights".

The new GM didn't have much to say other than he plans to prepare for a draft in which he hopes to make an impact and continue to evaluate his players. When asked about which direction this team is going to take, Rose said "we haven't made any plans to rebuild completely yet or just try and add on to the roster. However, rest assured that my primary focus is to bring this team to the top".

Who knows what kind of an impact Matthew Rose will have but his first test is coming up soon as we are only a few weeks away from the draft and Free Agency. Many Hurricanes fans expressed that they liked his calm demeanor but are unsure how he'll stack up against his MRFHL colleagues.
