Rangers retain Abdelkader and Kronwall

New York Rangers General Manager Phil Grote has announced the resigning of forward Justin Abdelkader and defenceman Nik Kronwall.

"We are excited to have both players back and are looking forward to filling out the rest of the roster as we inch ever so closer to the start of training camp less than 6 weeks from today. We feel our top 9 are set and will be looking to fill out the last 3-5 spots at the forward position while on defence, we like our mix there as well. Cap wise, we may be a bit fat so we may look to shed some weight there. Overall I like the way the summer has progressed."
