Habs deadline review

The habs trade deadline started earlier this week with the team trading their leading scorer and team captain gabriel landeskog to the new york rangers in exchange for scoring winger nino niedereiter and nail yakupov with a 2nd

" We hate losing a guy like landeskog but i like the potential of the players we got back , i believe nino will be a 30 goal scorer in this league  and yakupov is starting to become the player he was supposed to be as a n 1 pick . " - gm  boudreau

Yesterday habs started the trade deadline with trading defenceman mark stuart and eric tangradi for mike richards.

" mike was brought in to replace the leadership we lost with kog and we also needed to add salary to our cap, mike struggled lately but we will give him a chance to succeed in mtl ".

next trade habs traded winger chris stewart  to the avalanche in return for chris terry and young prospect connor brown .
