Rangers maintain Home Ice advantage

The New York Rangers dominance over their crosstown rivals continued in Game 2 of the their first round match up.

The Rangers outshot the Islanders 45-11 and outscoring them 7-0. All this was accomplished without their regular season scoring leader Corey Perry who had been suspended for the game.

"Gaborik has really stepped up in the first 2 games of the series and has been the catalyst for the team offensive push."

The Rangers have scored 11 goals in the first two games and look to continue pouring it on with tonights game being played in Long Island.

"We know that this series is not going to be an easy go of it regardless of what the scores may tell you. Both games have been physical and if we're not careful we could possibly lose someone to injury before it's all said and done."

Game three tonight, can the Rangers make it three in a row?
