Clemmensen signs two year deal 2009-03-17 (AP) Goalie Scott Clemmensen has inked a two year contract for the Ottawa Senators. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to GM Gary Brown, Clemmensen will split goalie duties with Brian Elliott next season while Pascal Leclaire recovers from ankle surgery that could sideline him for much of the year. "We've got young Cory Schneider (acquired in the Niklas Lidstrom trade with Vancouver) coming up next year, and he'll probably spend most of the season with Binghamton in the AHL," GM Brown told a press gathering. "So Clemmensen will help us fill a void while Leclaire recovers and Schneider develops in the minors."
