With the MRFHL Entry Draft over with and the start of Free Agency looming around the corner, the Boston Bruins focused all their attention on preventing future MRFHL hall of famer Jaromir Jagr from hitting the open market. At approximately 10:00pm EST the Bruins General Manager tweeted to Bruin Nation: “We are happy to announce that Jaromir Jagr will be in a Bruins uniform next year.” Shortly after Jagr’s agent confirmed his client signed a 1 year deal worth an estimated 4.5 million dollars. “We are happy to get this deal done and have Jags back for another year.” Valente said. “He has proven time and again that his is an exceptional leader, motivator and teacher. He is exactly what we need for our hockey team and we are confident his work ethics and exceptional on ice ability will help guide our players and turn this team around.” Bruins have amassed a promising talented roster filled with young yet inexperienced players who will require the steady hand and veteran leadership Jaromir will provide. It is expected that as the Bruins will likely look to see if any other vetern or character players could help provide additional support to the young professionals.
The 42 year old Jagr continues to amaze both teammates and opposing players showcasing his elite skill and legendary poise on nightly basis. He might not have the speed he once did but continues to be the best player on the ice with the puck every night.

Last year Jagr notched his 122nd Game Winning Goal becoming the All Time Leader breaking a record previously held by Gordie Howe (121 GWG). Heading into the 2014-15 season after playing 1,473 games, Jagr has amassed 1,755 points (705 goals, 1,050 assits) or 6th on the All-Time points leaders. What is more amazing is that he currently sits 43 points behind Ron Francis (4th all time).
