Winds of change are blowing 2010-12-23 The New York Rangers have had some player turnover over the last few weeks so it's to be accepted that they will struggle before further changes are made...or so one would think. Rangers GM Phillip Grote commented on the current rumblings "We haven't been pleased with the effort level from some of the guys in the room and I think that I have pointed out time and again that if we have to many passengers on the bus, then we are going to make some changes. That still holds true. Yes, I understand that chemistry may not be there right way, but that should never prevent a player or players from not trying which is what I think I have been seeing. I will not tolerate that." A young reporter pressed the GM for some specifics and if looks could kill, Rangers GM would be up on some serious charges right now. As it was, GM Phil Grote ended the discussion by simply shaking his head in disbelief/anger and walked away. Speculate all you want.
