The Calgary Flames saw a major rework in the off season which would see the likes of Matt Duchene who no one could of seen moving from the team in a massive deal that saw him go to the Vancouver Canucks in return for Nazem Kadri and Zach Parise. The changes made to the team have yet to be tested as majority of the moves were made in the off season, GM Derek Loftus has been quoted saying “We believe this team can easily compete with the best of the west we have a solid forward core and a strong top 4, we also have the utmost faith that Varlamov can be the guy to get us to the playoffs”. All in all the Calgary fans are anxious to see the results of the total rework of the team.
